Get Involved

Glasgow Strom is a long established but growing club and we’re always ready to welcome new people. Whether you’re a player, coach, official or interested in volunteering to develop the club and the local community, there’s a place for you at Glasgow Storm.

We have a range of teams and we’re working hard to recruit new players at all age levels. We’re especially interested in developing our youth sections so if you or your child is interested in joining the club then please get in touch. You can see all of our current teams on the teams page so please get in touch with the coach of the team you’re interested in.

We are working hard to expand the club and support a greater number of people at all ranges. If you are looking for a new coaching opportunity then get in touch with Barry Scott. Barry will be happy to talk with you and see what opportunities suit you.

We’re always looking for people who are qualified or can train as game officials so that competitive league games can take place. If you would be able to spare a little of your time to help give people the opportunity to play ball then get in touch with Craig Gordon. You don’t necessarily need to be qualified, we could help you access training to become qualified so if you are already or are interested in becoming a table official then Craig would love to hear from you.

You can volunteer to help the club in a variety of different ways. Whether you’re a parent helper or you have some specialist skills or knowledge that would help a club like Storm grow, you can get in touch with David Purdie . You can commit a lot of time or a small amount of time, it’s up to you.

If you’d like the chance to promote your business and help provide opportunities for people to access basketball, then you should consider sponsoring the club. You can commit as much time or money as you like. To discuss sponsorship opportunities at Strom please contact our chairman Barry Scott  or club secretary David Purdie.

If you’re just interested in watching some great basketball then come along to any of our games. They’re free and open to the public so come along with family and friends. There’s a good crowd of supporters at our games and even if you don’t know the rules there’s always a friendly face to speak to. To find out upcoming games just head to our Teams pages and the fixtures for each team are posted on their pages.
